Florida & Fauna is a place-based creative brand rooted in the landscapes, plants, and wildlife of Florida and in the belief that paying attention changes our relationship with the natural world.
Through art, creative practices, field notes, workshops, and thoughtfully made goods, we invite people to slow down, look closer, and engage more deeply with the places around them. Florida is our home, our inspiration, and our starting point, but the invitation extends far beyond it.
Whether your wild place is a coastal marsh, a neighborhood park, a patch of woods, or the plants growing just outside your door, there is always more to notice. We hope Florida & Fauna inspires you to follow your curiosity, make something with what you discover, and build a deeper relationship with the living world wherever you are.
Hi, I'm Marti
Florida & Fauna grew out of my own practice of slowing down and paying closer attention to the natural world around me. What began as noticing ...the shape of a fern unfurling, the wildlife along a familiar trail, the changing character of a place through the seasons...became a source of curiosity, creativity, and connection.
I’m an artist, maker, lifelong learner, Florida native, and the person behind Florida & Fauna. I create the work, develop the experiences, and share what I’m discovering along the way. I don’t approach nature as an expert with all the answers, but as someone deeply curious about the world around me and convinced that there is value in learning to really see it.
Florida & Fauna is my invitation to do that together: to notice more, follow our curiosity, make things, learn from the places we inhabit, and find a little more connection along the way.

We believe connection begins with attention. When we slow down enough to notice what is growing, moving, changing, and living around us, a place becomes more than scenery. It becomes something we know, care about, and belong to.
